Flower Series : Lalupate

Fascinating Lalupate flowers blooming nearby our office building.

I encountered Lalupate in Kathmandu. I was fascinated by the green fresh leaves turning red. During the initial years, I used to say I would plant Lalupate in our house but yet not got a chance to grow anywhere.

In Vasant Vihar, I again encountered Lalupate. I had not expected Lalupate in Dehradun and was excited again as I used to in Kathmandu. Passing through the single leaved Lalupate plant everyday, I was waiting for its leaves to turn red. One day it started.

I need to get a chance, the time before our office gate opens so I won't be late (and boss do not mark half-day in my attendance sheet). But to reach early to click pictures is always not possible. First I don't remember anything like this at home, second I can't manage everything so early. Getting used to preparing breakfast and lunch early morning is tough. I know you understand, because you know my habit.

One day I did, clicked some pictures and was happy that I could capture at least some shots with dew drops on the leaves. But a friend of mine suggested me not to put any of those pics and to click again. Disappointed, yet agreed because I too was not satisfied with the clicks.

Next day, a colleague showed me another Lalupate tree, in the right of our office building. Oh my God!!! Will I ever be a photographer when I don't look around??? Thanks to him!! I clicked many (as usual) pictures among which some of them are here.

Let me not tell you a lie, I spent another one lunch break to click more pictures. Finally I was happy that I had at least few shareable ;) pictures. They are shareable, aren't they?

May your life be as loving as Lalupate... May love spread...
